ABOUT

The International Relations Office provides strategic guidance and expert advice for internationalization and global engagement at the Vermont School. The IRO currently oversees and manages exchange programs in Canada and The United Kingdom and constantly seeks new international linkages and partnerships.

The office carries out regionals, nationals and internationals participation of our students in conferences, events and tournaments which complement its main role as for a key driver of internationalization strategies for the school.

We also want to increase the international student population. In recent years, the number of students from abroad (particularly US, Australia, and Canada) has increased significantly, and we plan to continue in our efforts to accept overseas students from these countries as well as world-wide.

IMMERSION PROGRAMS

WATERLOO, CANADA and CAMBRIDGE, UK

The Vermont School is dedicated to ensure that every student has the opportunity for a meaningful and authentic experience abroad which is tied to our rich multicultural Cambridge Curriculum. Last summer during our trips to Canada and Europe, we wanted for our sixth and ninth graders to be more fluent in English, become more aware of global issues and different cultures, as well as the importance of establishing personal connections to others around the world. The ultimate goal of the IRO is closely related to Vermont School´s Mission, which aims to create more responsible, global citizens empowered to have a competitive edge in the global vision.
